This tea undergoes a moderate oxidation process, around 40 to 60 percent, which enhances its characteristically rich and woody notes. The leaves are dark and slightly twisted, embodying the rugged terrain of the Wuyi Mountains from which they are harvested.
Upon brewing, Shuixian releases an enthralling aroma of matured wood with subtle hints of sweet floral undertones, reminiscent of its namesake, the Narcissus flower. I have had Wuyi Rock Dahongpao before. This Shuixian is from the same rock tea family and offer a deeper aroma. Taste sweet and smell flourish.
