Description
Songluo black tea originates from Songluo Mountain, located between Keemun and Huangshan in Southern Anhui Province. Anhui Province is home to many famous teas in China. The production of tea in Anhui started over 2000 years ago. In ancient China, tea from Anhui is treated as “tribute tea” for the imperial court.
There is also a beautiful legend behind Songluo. During the Ming Dynasty, when there was an epidemic of illness in Xiuning county, the Buddhist Abbot sent every worshipper Songluo tea to brew in hot water and mix with ginger and salt. All patients recovered after drinking the tea.
My first time to have songluo black. It’s also really good for the milk tea. Strongly recommended. 🙂
