Silver Needle is widely considered to be the highest quality white tea in China. The plucking season begins in early April, before the Qingming Festival, and only the top of the buds are plucked.
Our Silver Needle tea leaves look like needles with a silvery-white, downy appearance. When brewed, the liquor is bright and pale with a light yellowish-green color.
The delicate fragrance of our Silver Needle tea buds is like fresh flowers. The flavor is refreshing, mellow, delicate, and sweet, with a beautiful, lingering aftertaste.

Silver Needle is mainly produced in two regions, Fuding and Zhenghe in Fujian, China. Fuding style Silver Needle is usually called “The North Road Silver Needle” while Zhenghe style Silver Needle is called “The South Road Silver Needle.” The South Road is much darker than the North Road Silver Needle.
The requirements for picking Silver Needle are very strict. Tea farmers pick only the fattest and strongest buds in the early springtime and take the utmost care to avoid damaging them. The ideal time and weather for plucking white tea is on a sunny morning when the sun is high enough to have dried any moisture remaining on the buds. Due to the time-consuming process and limited production, Silver Needle is one of the rarest teas on the market.
